Lesli Mitchell, MSW, LCSW, SAHM is the new author/co-illustrator of new children's books Sally Weans From Night Nursing and Spanish version Sally Pone Fin a La Lactancia Nocturna to help older babies/toddlers more gently wean from night nursing. Lesli created this book for her then 23 month old daughter to help her night wean in a more empowering way, so that she had a better understanding of what was happening and why. As a prior therapist with children and families, it was important to Lesli that her daughter to have some buy in and understanding as to why night weaning was happening. Lesli continued to day nurse her daughter until she was 3 years old, but getting sleep felt really important for her functioning.
